Antidote Poem by Quênia Lalita

Antidote

the pressure is off
now we can move sharp objects
with the power of our minds

boredom is unexistent
since we've discovered an antidote:

violets and ladybugs
smoothly invading our nostrils
helping us block the noise from within

turning hungry vampires into stone
before they grab our necks, in ecstasy

cuz we are righteous pirates
we live to drink peace and quiet
maybe it's not too late,

we might be just in time
to take the right boat back home

detached from a past of sulking
detached from the worst of crimes
do you know what I'm talking about?
