Anxiety Poem by Uzezi Ologe

Anxiety

Lets not flame so high
And forget our ends so nigh
Lets crouch closer to earth
To feel more intense
The warmth of the hearth

Lets not plunge so deep
And forget the surface
Is just as deep
Dance with the ripples
To know how much easier it is
To sink than to float

Lets not live with brows
Furrowed in frowns
Of faces, let smiles be their gown
With a sigh at a measure
To savour life's small pleasures.
