Apologise Poem by Daniel Adams

Apologise

Rating: 4.8

I can apologise a million times,
Write this in a million rhymes.
Tears forming this sorrowful song,
I hope we're not apart for too long.

It's not that I don't trust you,
Or believe every word that you say to be untrue.
It's just that I've been hurt before,
Don't want it again, don't wanna hurt nomore.

I've put my life into your trust,
You guard it with love, with passion and lust.
Each night I thank the Lord above,
For giving me such a wonderful person to love.

When we fight I get angry and cry,
But without your love I think I'd die.
I only acted like that my dear,
Because losing you is my greatest fear.

I'm sorry x
