Apparently Poem by Raymond Farrell

Apparently

Apparently
It is incumbent
Upon the majority
Who have no say
And have never
Had a say in the matter
To remain silent
In face of every organized
Group of ingrates
Who want things
Done their way
And be willing
To accomodate these people
While they rearrange
The deck chairs
On the ship of state
Which is listing badly
And about to sink
I am certain
When it comes time
To load the life boats
These same people
Will be first in line
Because in this democracy
Every one is created equal
But some
Are treated more equal
Than others.
