Apparently A Parent Poem by RAJESHWARI SRINIVASAN

Apparently A Parent

Apparently a parent

To show the world you love your child
the worst thing a parent must abide.
To love and feel it in solitude,
the best thing to stay for ever dude!
Consumerism, Materialism the talk of the day
shall not bring happiness genuinely to say.
The care and attention you sincerely pay
shall take your child to a new day, every day.
Your career, establishment is yours for sure
but your child's needs are also your's dear!
not to neglect the duties of parent,
to stay united friendly and trusted.
Today's times, heavens save us,
soliciting all most needed support,
that's what shall bring the smile,
a much needed reward for all your effort.
Poor or Rich for parents care its no hitch,
Child's happiness is pivotal for the pitch,
no greed, murkiness or conceit shall work,
trust, openness and love can only behest,
the reciprocation you deserve and expect.
Love your child as you were loved
no strings attached, no exchange offers!
no control or dictate shall work out here
only genuine concern and forgiveness can hold,
the Mantra of Parenthood to stay forever,
its the best relationship humanity can conquer! !
