Apples And Stars Poem by Helen Ivory

Apples And Stars

Rating: 2.7

Your face is melting into her face,
the room spins three sixty;
there are birds and sirens everywhere.
The sofa is on the ceiling;
you wade through the stars
skin glowing in the swirl of the milky way.
Whole bowlfuls of fruit are consumed.
You bake cakes of each other and eat them.

There are reasons for this.
Scientific facts and chemical reactions.
Do not be disturbed -
You life will carry on much as before.
Once there are no more apples.
Once there are no more stars.
