Archimedes Goes Cosmic Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Archimedes Goes Cosmic

Why does earth not spiral into the sun
These equations do not match the sum
For millions of years this world has spun
Something's wrong with our planetarium

It is atmospheric pressure my friend
Neutralizes the 'pull' of gravity
Stops us meeting a fiery end
All must obey the law of entropy

Lighter elements do make up our core
And like a football that floats upon seas
Drifting in space upon a cosmic shore
Einstein does battle with Archimedes

Planets are hollow what else could it be
That does cancel the 'force' of gravity
