Are We Puppets In The Hands Of Karma? (Sonnet #204) Poem by Tina Baaklini

Are We Puppets In The Hands Of Karma? (Sonnet #204)

Are we puppets in the hands of Karma
Is she a witch scaling our dues to pay
Or an angel counting our deeds and dharma
She's a law, just and fair, that we must obey.

Nothing is arbitrary, out of the blue
With time you'll learn that pain was a good master
For it pushed you to change, to grow, to pursue
New goals that align with your soul's whispers.

When roadblocks impede your life, scold not fate
Be patient, pray, the sky has eyes and ears
Maybe God longs to see you at His gate
Or to hear your voice, to tell you 'I'm near'.

Stay merry. Remember 'this too shall pass',
Forget not to smile — to the one on the glass.
