Are You Brave? Poem by Sydney L

Are You Brave?

Rating: 5.0

All the people I've ever met,
Think they're different from another,
But I can see right through them,
To me they're all the same.
They think they are the best
And they rarely call their mothers,
Because why would their mother hen,
Help to keep the sane?

Everyone tries so hard,
To be different from the rest,
They tend to copy others,
Trying to do the same.
We all want to be heard,
But when faced with a test,
We sing the same pitch as our brothers,
And we are all to blame.

I ask you now my friend,
Are you brave enough to stand,
Just as you really are,
Without your added "differences"?
Are you brave enough to send,
That sappy love song with your band,
Or travel so very far,
Form your normal preferences?

Are you brave enough to be yourself,
To love with all your heart,
Without the fear of pain?
Are you brave enough to love yourself,
Are you brave enough to start,
Now go dance out in the fire and rain
My beautiful lionheart.
