Arizona Vacation Poem by Gail Grierson

Arizona Vacation

Sitting in the desert sun,
No clouds up in the sky;
It's almost like I'm stuck in time,
So peaceful here am I.

Just a couple weeks ago,
A frost was on the ground;
I wore a coat, my nose was cold,
No sunshine could be found.

Here it's sunny every day,
And can be a hundred degrees;
Shorts and tees and sandals,
No more covered knees.

I'm sure that I'll enjoy my stay
And make the most of every day;
For I'll soon be packing up to go
Upon my merry way.

It's always good to get away
And relax, refresh, renew,
But nice to get back home again,
Because I'm missing you.
