Art thou an angel in disguise,
With gentle smiles on show,
With perfect God-blessed deep blue eyes
That from God's oceans flow?
Art thou a fairy full of grace
Thought very wise to see?
So men might look upon that face,
Enthralled by ecstasy?
Art thou a cherub, not much more?
A winsome babe to love?
As if to thrill me to the core?
If so, more than enough!
Art thou a maiden just like Eve,
With mortal soul to share?
With deep blue eyes meant to deceive,
Such that I should beware?
Art thou a siren full of songs
Who sings with all her might
To whom this day my heart belongs
And longs for day and night?
Art thou a girl this man could see
As his next Valentine,
To love me for eternity?
Say yes! And then be mine!
