As A Spring Ran The Man Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

As A Spring Ran The Man

As a spring ran the man
No noise but silent noise
In all the streets
Went he
In all directions:
Where the man ran
In the small Sicilian village on hill-top
No door opened, nor window
Too deep all asleep
But the man he ran
Under the stars' light
He ran
He ran
He ran.
