As Birds Chirping Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

As Birds Chirping

Not yet over.
Past noon the feast begun.
Gathered the invited.
Began the speaking.
Speech
Speaking
Speaking
Chattering
As birds chirping.
Welcome, surprise, curiosity
And hidden under the Garb
Hypocrisy.
All relative.
Yet all growing as the swine is carried.
Glasses clank.
Clapping of hands.
As in Bacchanalian feasts
As Birds chirping.
