As Flower Petals Fade
To dream sometimes
what might have been
as flower petals fade
to try to keep on smiling
while your heart stays
in the shade
grieving for the loved one
you had no chance to meet
but the place reserved
within your heart
for memories bitter sweet
will keep you both together
forever and a day
through the happy
and the sad times
as you learn to find your way
