As I Gently Start My Day Poem by Mohammad Younus

As I Gently Start My Day

As I gently start my day,
While the sun begins to rise in the east
To view the beautiful manifestation,
In broad day light,
Some water I need to clear my eyes,
And take ablution with holy light.

Dispersal of great manifestations,
Chin up to meet my own glare;
Come to me oh my old person,
Familiar unseen tattoos wear.

This mirror shows not the images unreal;
Yet I feel It more than ever,
That this mirror shows the hidden reality,
In full manifestation;
Renounce the speculations and imaginations;
He is what he is in his manifestations clear;
Few glimpses of the reality I alone see,
From behind the six senses of my body;
The world of manifestation is made for me,
Though I was unaware that it was all for me;
Getting conscious of it slowly,
While journeying since long crime - from eternity.

I'm still here standing in awe,
Looking beneath from the windows,
With eternal covenant I played because,
Lifeless eyes had grown in my head,
So I failed to see the reality behind the veils;
My only gift from the reality - the divine eyes,
He has now restored the divine eyes to me,
And puts me to test to see,
If I keep my primordial covenant with him;
What must I do? I do not know,
How can I keep my covenant?
