As I Unveil - Poem by Aileen Figueroa

As I unveil…
I have desired to go where the spirits never fails
To fields where butterflies colors are sharp
To run the hills where it never hails
Where the wind whispers words as it blows
Where the lilies grow in gold

I have asked to be
Where the storms never come
Where the greens of the ocean
The blues of the sky
Swells from a far
Appearing as one

Where mine bones will heal
As I sit on the throne of peace
This desire is like none.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

I found myself dwelling on the yester years. Remembering good friends, goodtimes and family members that are no longer here.
