As Long As Poem by Francis Duggan

As Long As

As long as respect to others rights you do pay
And you've never harmed one in any way
Why worry what some about you have to say
Show them a flowering garden and they see decay.

Not one of the successful as seen through their eyes
But these people one might say are far from wise
They judge people for their money or lack of it one might say
They are shallow people in their own small way.

As long as you believe in live and let live
And you are willing to forget and forgive
And to live as good and honest you do the best you can
Then you are a successful woman or man.
