As The Use Be Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

As The Use Be

As the use be
The grave-diggers by the grave
Opened the lid
The his son see
And weeping the last farewell
Make
Rose the head
And tongue clearly spoke:
‘wherefore an I here? '
Turned yellow all
In fearing leaving the coffin
Unburied there.
