As We Close The Light - Poem by RIC S. BASTASA

we bear upon us
a blanket of silence
not a talk
we listen to the chant
of the fan
the monotonous whisper
of the sea
the passing wind
hushes and we love this
kind of
submission: we are
embraced with
the stillness
of the earth
