As We Stand Poem by Mason KT Goldstein

As We Stand

the morning is the day
without a long dark
a period without
a bad or hateful part
as you walk outside
with the glazing hot sun
staring down on you
like your the only one
the doves chirping in your ear
the blue cardinals awaiting your grand entrance
your body is the gps
and you start to move on an everyday pace
to somewhere new
the chirping in your ear
the trees awaiting to hear
youhds moving so fast
you feet ready to dash
the smell of the roses popping out
the funiest sounds when a kid goes and shouts
the morning is day
without a long dark
a period without
andy hateful parts
