As You Walked By Poem by Josh Southern

As You Walked By

Rating: 4.8

I was stunned by the Orca's sound,
my body frozen with fear,
I saw its beauty and there I found
you floating extremely near

I was stunned by the yellow bee,
a sharp buzz into my chest,
my heart thudding when I turn to see
some crumbled wings by where you rest

I was stunned by the electric ray,
the shock sunk beneath my gasp,
my eyes watching as it swam away
following you and out of grasp

I was stunned by your elegant grace,
your loving smile and beautiful face,
too stunned to talk, I could only say
I loved you as you walked away

A THING OF BEAUTY IS A JOY FOREVER - John Keats. A well articulated poem nicely penned in poetic diction. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
