Ashake Poem by Sab O. Ibrahim

Ashake

Ashake!

Birds,
None of it like Eagles,
At the jungle,
The lion reigns Supreme,
In the pool,
Nothing like Shark,
For in my heart,
Nothing smells like you.

A new dawn,
Evokes a brighter day,
A new sun,
Provokes the dull onyx,
In the dark,
The stars shines bright,
In my heart,
You are the brightest Moon.

As the stars blanket the sky,
So your love do my heart, with seeds of joy growing on my face,
I rise in love,
From grass to grace,
For wandering in your thoughts is so much fun,
Like the vitamins of rising Sun.

Ashake,
Omo to rewa bi egbin,
Igbakeji eye Adaba,
Ashake adanlawo bi Owo aganran,
Ololufe MI owon,
Iranse eledumare si Okan mi,
If I could choose again and again,
I will choose Kemisola,
Oniwa tutu bi omi Amu.

You are more than just a love to me, that's why I care so much about you.
