Astral Dreamer - Poem by Janice Walkden

I close my eyes
and go to sleep
No passage of time
do I keep
While soaring high
like a bird in flight
My souls own journey
through the night
I dream of Summer
and a blue, blue sea
where I can swim
alone and free
A salty breeze
across my face
that lifts my Spirit
and gives me grace
Before I know it
I’m back in bed
have I been away
or was it all in my head.
