At Circle's Bend Poem by Leta Mae Poe

At Circle's Bend

The blackness of night
At the circle's bend,
Leans slowly toward the light,
To sojourn into brilliance,
Then creeps its way back home.
Chameleon-like emotions
Follow crepuscule through dawn,
While hands hold fast
To the circling reins
To stay on the merry-go-round.
