At Ease You Call To Me Poem by Mohammad Younus

At Ease You Call To Me

At ease, you call to me,
and I am enveloped
by your gratuitous love.
Gratitude escapes my words,
yet I am certain in your care,
tomorrow, and all tomorrows,
you will call me again.
Impatience stirs within
for the melody of your calling.

Certain, I am, that you are with me,
each day full of music and divine light.
I need your voice to bring me back
to the consciousness of my divine essence.
But words fail to capture this heart's cry.

How many times did I visit the worldly exhibitions?
Yet never have I strayed from your presence.
I need to enter my heart's temple,
though my mind doesn't understand
this urgent pull within me.

Uneasy, my mind whispers,
resisting the remembrance
of the heart's sacred space.
But I know the fight against this devil mind,
to remain aware of my divine essence,
to remember, always and consciously.
