At Least There Is Poem by Shalom Freedman

At Least There Is

A LEAST THERE IS

At least there is a park-
And trees-
And sunlight shining through them-
And the color of the leaves-
And the freshness of the skies-

At least there is something -
Somewhere-
Outside me-
Which takes me away-
If only for a few moments

From my inner world
Of Worries, Fears, Doubts,
And Ineptitude.
