At Night Poem by Elysa Pope

At Night

You see the trees shadow as
It taps on your window
The summer breeze sweeps these
Trees and it starts to smell
Like a meadow
The moonlight hits your walls
You hear a faint bump as your sister
Walks past your door
An owl whoo a strange tune
As to tell you goodnight
As you fall away to
The land of dreams
You wonder what tomorrow brings
But it too late to answer
Because you already asleep
Just awake inthe morning and
You shall see

At Night
