At Night After Work. Poem by Subhadip Bhattacharya

In today's world of smartphones and
Instagram and Facebook and smart TV
It's unlikely to find somebody.
Or just a friend who is a good listener.
It is surprising but in most cases
It's true.
So,
After coming back from work
I,
At night....
Start my own party with
Radio, gym and tea and cigarettes,
Surprisingly cigarettes work and drink doesn't.
At least for me.

And exercises till I get a good pump
Of the muscles.
And feel myself straight.
Pain?
Yes. There are kinds of it.
But then I more listen to my talking
With myself.
And feel comfortable.
Time goes by.
And that's the way of it.
