At The End/ Even One's Dreams No Longer Pain

AT THE END / EVEN ONE’S DREAMS NO LONGER PAIN

At the end there is silence and sleep
And all the pain goes away
And is not there anymore.

At the end
Even one’s dreams no longer pain
Nothing hurts anymore
And the ground and one’s memories are one.

At the end
Nothing is done
Nothing is begun
The soul may sing its own song
But whether it is heard
And where it is heard,
The end we know
Does not know.
