At the heart of everything
is a great love and devotion.
It resides in rocks,
pebbles, stones;
it lives in trees,
flowers, seeds;
I hear it in the murmuring of streams,
in the roaring of oceans,
in the rushing wind;
I see it in a lightning flash-
I feel it in the rain.
It rends me open
with a sweet, searing pain.
