At work he craves for more shopping
And getting high in Mall hopping
He fills his world with Leisure
Until he throws up in seizures
They trade their rights for consumption
And sell their lives by production
And the flag wavers rally
Like a white bread virus
As the dead numbers tally
All Logic is silenced
A true Pyrrhic victory
For the moral majority
And lady liberty dances
on the edge of a cliff
she takes a dose of bleach
to get her flogging kicks
accepting what is fatal
of this democracy fable
A very astute observation on people's behavior. I concur with your perceptive and brilliant thoughts. Yes, there are many people who want to shop and shop. They are shopaholics. They just purchase things as if there is no tomorrow. Sometimes they just hoard mindless of those people who are deprived of the opportunity to buy their needs.
He craves for more shopping and having more hopping. Increasing rate of production and sale encourages him a lot. Their rights for consumption is kept in mid with respect to production. Lady liberty dances on the edge of a cliff. This poem is very amazingly penned. I put my historic 40,190th comment (my Forty thousands one hundred and ninety comment)

Liked the ultimate stanza. Very incisive. A vivid portrayal of how democracy works at these times of uncertainty. A brilliant write as always, Kevin.
