Once upon a time
In a land not so far
I stumbled out the door
And found a shooting star

He was a fallen angel
The most perfect one of all
And in that instant attraction
For him did I fall

Despite all my flaws
He fell for me too
Cheers me up when I am down
Makes me smile when I am blue

He's caring, smart, and funny
From Heaven is where he fell
No matter how bad my temper
He always treats me well

I'll be with him forever
Or for as long as he wants me there
For to keep him against his will
Certainly isn't fair

That doesn't stop my hoping
That what he says is true
In holy matrimony
To him I'll pledge 'I do'

We'll have happy lives
Together we'll grow grey
But I'm not going to rush it
I'll cherish everyday
