Audience With The Queen Poem by Justin Gildow

Audience With The Queen

Having an audience with the Queen
She beckons me to come forward
She asks me of my travels
My triumphs
My tragedies
My wins
My losses

She can tell that I've been through
a lot

In return
For what I've told her
She bestows upon me gifts
A sword
A shield
A sash

And her final gift to me
Being knighted

From this day forward
She tells me I'm a knight
A knight for her kingdom
A knight for her land

Thank you
Your majesty
You shall not be disappointed
You shall not be disappointed with me
