Auguste Rodin Poem by Hiroshi Satow

Auguste Rodin

Truth is stranger than fiction;
What he made was true to life.
Believe it or not,
It was more real than it really was;
Indeed, too true for the Salon to accept.
'Man with the broken nose' was the name of his work.
Believe it or not,
He with it tried to make a long nose at them,
Only to fail, indeed.
