Aunt Vickie Poem by mckenna levitt

Aunt Vickie

Rating: 5.0

All the years of tears streaming down our faces,
All the years of hope and happiness fading away,
You came to our rescue, you took all the blame
You healed our spirits and made the nightmares go away.

We loved you and cared for you daily,
Until one day you up and slipped away,
It wasn’t your fault, It spread too far,
We miss you and need you
Even though you are there from afar.

Every time I see a shooting star,
I think of your gentle eyes healing our scars.
Now that your gone all I have our my dreams
To keep you alive…you helped me.

Mckenna Your recollection of yur aunt is very nice. The reader can see her in your lines. Good poem, very clean. When you get time just go thru my 'Smudge of Blood' Rgds Nooruddeen
