Aureus Denarius Poem by Erasmo Rayon

Aureus Denarius

Who deserves to be best?
Who deserves to be tested?
Oh, a beggar and a urchin
Filthy and misery
Go away, go away
The likes of your kind are not welcomed coming in
For the dirt that ornaments you
For the poverty that consumes you
Go away, go away
Take haste and begone!
For your kind are not welcomed in these walls

Who deserves to be guest?
Who deserves to be tested?
Oh, a merchant and his warehouse
Brighter but not shiny
Go away, go away
The likes of your kind will not trespass our judgement
For the gossips that haunt you
For the greed that secludes you
Go away, go away
Take haste and begone!
But don't forget to pay before you go

Who deserves to be bested?
Who deserves to be guest?
Could it really be? Dear me, it is indeed!
A lord! a lord! heed me t'is a lord!
With power over a thousand skies of silver and gold
What can I do for I'm not allowed to ask?
For if one coin should I demmand
My head would be put on his command
