Autonomy Poem by Shirley Houston

Autonomy

Her presence fills the room/
like sweetly aromatic incense/
intense/
adding aesthetic ambience to the atmosphere/
causing others to stare/
without eyes/
still aware/
of her reverberating energy/
synergistic ability/
a cool, receptive vibe/
lingering/
punget in the air/
negativity's assailed/
derailed/
impaled/
at once annihilated/
annihilated/
Grace abounds in her flawlessly/
abundantly/
It's not what she does/
It's who she is/
within/
akin/
to an oasis in desiccate places/
dispossessing the stoic faces/
saturating porous walls/
powerfully/
like waterfalls/
eroding placative tendencies/
the atrocity/
of mediocrity/
& blending in with greying flashes/
that crash and burn into ashes/
blackened/
only embers remain/
tamed/
a non-threatening frame/
housing depicted images changed/
in2 a strange/
conglomerate/
devoid of operant/
desires/
expired/
expired/
Her presence fills the room/
like sweetly aromatic incense/
intense/
adding aesthetic ambience to the atmosphere/
causing others to stare/
without eyes/
aware/
of her reverberating energy/
brilliantly/
shining light/
in2 the darkness/
of sameness/
imposed surrepitious/
that sullies individuality/
systematically/
systematically...
