Fair Pen Poem by Shirley Houston

Fair Pen

Aromatic honeysuckle/
& burgundy wine merge/
violently/
in the tenacity of a trade wind's fusion/
tenuous resistance ensues/
an epic fail/
scantily clad & frail/
he is powerless to withdraw/
away/
from the day/
he beheld her fair pen/
she is his drug/
his epilogue/
an eternal love/
a torrid scribe/
he must imbibe/
he must imbibe....

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
He loves her as much as he loves her pennings.
