Autumn Flowers Bloom Poem by tcr moon

Autumn Flowers Bloom

Early autumn flowers bloom in
impregnable places,
dry river beds
and Marmarisian cliff faces;

Ubictuous in coutured style
beauty unsurpassed
interrupted rhythm
and death remains non-compliant
without caste nor class.

From mountain muse to
municipal spring
where words speak without story,
and streets remain unpaved with gold,

heaven holds that final glory...

The summer closes with a whimper
while construction takes a stand
in a world not called our own
and one more battle runs aground

as seas of war, break
ranks to pulverise the mount,
early autumn flowers bloom in
more colours than I can count!

In this land I've seen just once,
unrecognisable faces
confused, reach untimely their fate
in deep unfamiliar places;

Ottoman's heavy steps
played out unwritten secrets
the jewels offered fall and
become that parting gift.

Mighty mountain, tower tall
as autumn flowers bloom,
nature weeps, returns the call
another day comes into view.

Adventure begins this ship of beast,
we sail on glassy ocean blue
I take leave and bid goodbye.
I am alone; I have no crew

Nor sail, wheel or mast,
bespoken flowers bloom till then
and take us to lands afar,
flood, forge, firago and fen.

Empiric solitude is Thursday's child
no longer fair of face,
expressionless ardour encompasses all,
seasons now join the race.

Early autumn flowers bloom
in dry unforsaken places
where collusion is a cultural pain
in all impregnable places....
