Autumn In My Soul Poem by Saweini Laloo

Autumn In My Soul

Warm shades of brown, golden, yellow, red. How i long for the sharp wind to pierce through my lungs. To see the cherry blossoms all in full bloom, laying a carpet of soft pink and black. Trees, almost bare with the sun kissing each golden leaf, saying ''smile for me one last time, proudly show your colors my darlings''. Birds sing hymns and praises to celebrate the passing of yet another year.
How i long to feel warmth in my soul, to feel the silence of a day echoing my thoughts. So quiet, so peaceful, so at ease. I am home.
Autumn, you do not reek of death, you are alive with the most vibrant of shades. Take me with you. Intertwine my body with yours. Let me be one with you, bring peace to my soul. Oh beautiful Autumnal.
