Autumn's Day Poem by Hiroshi Satow

Autumn's Day

On my way home,
I heard insects chirping;
It was dusk all over,
And I heard leaves rustling;

When I was home at night,
I heard the dead silence of the dark;
And when I was about to dream a dream,
I heard the death of all.
