Autumn Winds
Briefly, like the autumn season
You blew gently into my life
Catching me in your colors
And opening me up into a mysterious cool world
Full of whispers of summer past
And hopes of chilling winter promises
And then
Like the close of fall
Your winds grew wild and freezing
You raged out of my life, out of my soul, out of my mind
But like passing seasons
Never out of my heart.
