Autumn's Sun, A Ripening Glow Poem by Mohammad Younus

Autumn's Sun, A Ripening Glow

Autumn's sun, a ripening glow,
a season of mellow fruitfulness,
where the maturing light gently caresses,
loading and blessing the vines with fruit,
bending the branches with apples,
filling each fruit with sweetness to the core.

It breeds seeds to sprout again and again,
later flowers, with godly fragrance for the bees,
who think the warm days will never cease,
for autumn has o'er-brimm'd their cup of nectar.

Autumn's warmth brings life to the world,
and fills my heart with gratitude.
The sun shines bright, a ball of gold,
radiant energy that never grows old.

In autumn's embrace, I find my joy—
a world of wonder my soul cannot yet employ.
The season's vitality reminds me of the divine gifts,
a recompense for love that forever holds its best.
