Autumn's Tears Cascade Poem by Mohammad Younus

Autumn's Tears Cascade

Autumn's tears cascade,
fallen leaves tremble, whisper—
Wind could claim us all.

Roots entwined in stone,
Axed ruthlessly, the Chinar—
Yet still, it endures.

Clouds obscure the sky,
but the sun ignites the haze—
Freedom's light breaks through.

Through the harshest gales,
defiant cries roar like thunder—
Unbroken, we rise.
