Awaiting An Answer - Poem by Serena Constance Grobler

Awaiting an answer
Stating the meaning
Culling my emotions
Numbing all feeling

I let you in
You left me to drown
I save myself
And watch you frown

You frown
I laugh
You’re dumb
So daft
My bed
A place
You begged
You ached
My bed
The place
You killed my faith

Awaiting an answer
Stating the meaning
Killed my emotions
Stopped all my feeling

You let me in
I let you drown
Revenge the place
I wear the crown
