Awakened Poem by Samuel James Moore

Awakened

From this deep unbroken chest pours heavy heaping breaths of heaving.
Sitting in the dark lit room he hears a voice of sorrow’s doom.
A glitter, glimmer fades just quick and something new.
A message forms on the lips and slowly whispers out.
Peace, death, and love’s own gift of frantic scurry frightened furry.
All dreams dim right then when dawn sets blazing cross the rift.
Until hazy heightened feelings fill the mind and shatter clattered fists. Awakened; patiently ponders.
