Awakening Poem by S.. ...

Awakening

I wake to find her next to me
Curled close at peaceful rest
So wrap my arms around her
draw her closer to my chest
Our fingers intertwined
My lips press warm against her skin
This touch the gentle show
Of spirits bound so close within
As I drift to sleep
Follow the rhythm in her heart
I find instead I'm waking
That in truth we're far apart
I lay there for a time and know
Her touch may never be
still I'll wrap her in my soul
For she's become a part of me.
