Away From '18th Unto '19th.... Poem by Jayatissa K. Liyanage

What was planted twelve months back
has sprouted, germinated, grown and yielded
Happy or not, with the harvest it produced
already its done and gone for good

No time to wonder and ponder
Still, need to assess what failures, if at all
I re-set my own targets accordingly
and plough the soil, as it may come along

Determine to face things and step forward
to be contained and contended
Let the whole world say, be the best
I shall listen only to my own conscience.
