Awe-Aspiring Star

Awe-aspiring star
That shines burning
On the land and waters
Of Earth come
Nearer.
Come to illumine
More than with light
That coming nearer
Blinds
Come to illumine
The dark corners vast
Of our brains:
There be so many corners
Vast
Whole States and continents
As yet unexplored
We did not dig on them
We did not travel there
We did not restless
And unceasing be:
We
In further civilizations new
Must be pro-active more
And as in ever-increase.
Then
We will from that point
That we have climbed
Looking down at the
Giddying depths below
Above even the slippery snow
By the peaks we will see
What before we saw not
Know what before we knew
Not
Live in civilization as before
We were not.
