EYES FOR HER EYES
Edward Iacona

For reasons defying reason
A rationale does crystallize
I delight within the aspect
Of my darling's eyes.

When I am feeling low and blue
What makes my sprit rise?
It is the comfort that is found
Within my darling's eyes.

If there is a lapse of thoughts.
I call upon my muse so wise.
I always can regain my memory
Thinking of my darling's eyes.

Disappearing into her magic
To me is not a surprise.
It's the spell cast at a glance
From my darling's eyes.

What a smile she can beguile
Like a thousand butterflies
It's the one that greets me daily
Underneath my darling's eyes.

I'm admit'n that I am smitten.
I offer up no disguise.
As I remain a willing captive
Of my darling's eyes.
